SIMD.div

This is an experimental technology
Because this technology's specification has not stabilized, check the compatibility table for usage in various browsers. Also note that the syntax and behavior of an experimental technology is subject to change in future versions of browsers as the specification changes.

The static SIMD.%type%.div() method returns a new instance with the lane values divided (a / b). This function is defined only on floating point SIMD types.

Syntax

SIMD.Float32x4.div(a, b)
SIMD.Float64x2.div(a, b)

Parameters

a
An instance of a SIMD type.
b
Another instance of a SIMD type.

Return value

A new corresponding SIMD data type with the lane values of a and b divided (a / b).

Examples

var a = SIMD.Float32x4(2, 2, 2, 2);
var b = SIMD.Float32x4(4, 4, 4, 4);
SIMD.Float32x4.div(a, b);
// Float32x4[0.5, 0.5, 0.5, 0.5]

var c = SIMD.Float64x2(6, 2);
var d = SIMD.Float64x2(3, 3);
SIMD.Float64x2.div(c, d);
// Float64x2[2, 0.66666666]
