This is an experimental technology
Because this technology's specification has not stabilized, check the compatibility table for usage in various browsers. Also note that the syntax and behavior of an experimental technology is subject to change in future versions of browsers as the specification changes.
The static SIMD.%type%.abs()
method returns a new SIMD data type with absolute values. This operation exists only on floating point SIMD types.
SIMD.Float32x4.abs(t) SIMD.Float64x2.abs(t)
A new corresponding SIMD data type with absolute values.
The SIMD.%type%.abs
method is comparable to the scalar Math.abs()
function.
var a = SIMD.Float32x4(-1, -2, 0, NaN); SIMD.Float32x4.abs(a); // Float32x4[1, 2, 0, NaN] var b = SIMD.Float64x2(-1, -2); SIMD.Float64x2.abs(b); // Float64x2[1, 2]
