SIMD.abs

The static SIMD.%type%.abs() method returns a new SIMD data type with absolute values. This operation exists only on floating point SIMD types.

Syntax

SIMD.Float32x4.abs(t)
SIMD.Float64x2.abs(t)

Parameters

t

An instance of a corresponding SIMD type.

Return value

A new corresponding SIMD data type with absolute values.

Description

The SIMD.%type%.abs method is comparable to the scalar Math.abs() function.

Examples

var a = SIMD.Float32x4(-1, -2, 0, NaN);
SIMD.Float32x4.abs(a);
// Float32x4[1, 2, 0, NaN]

var b = SIMD.Float64x2(-1, -2);
SIMD.Float64x2.abs(b);
// Float64x2[1, 2]
