WindowClient.visibilityState

This is an experimental technology
Because this technology's specification has not stabilized, check the compatibility table for usage in various browsers. Also note that the syntax and behavior of an experimental technology is subject to change in future versions of browsers as the specification changes.

The visibilityState read-only property of the WindowClient interface indicates the visibility of the current client. This value can be one of hidden, visible, prerender, or unloaded.

Syntax

myVisState = WindowClient.visibilityState;

Value

A DOMString.

Example

  event.waitUntil(clients.matchAll({
    type: "window"
  }).then(function(clientList) {
    for (var i = 0; i < clientList.length; i++) {
      var client = clientList[i];
      if (client.url == '/' && 'focus' in client) {
        if(visibilityState === 'hidden')
          return client.focus();
        }
      }
    }
    if (clients.openWindow)
      return clients.openWindow('/');
