HTMLHyperlinkElementUtils.host

The HTMLHyperlinkElementUtils.host property is a USVString containing the host, that is the hostname, and then, if the port of the URL is nonempty, a ':', and the port of the URL.

Syntax

string = object.host;
object.host = string;

[1] Though not grouped in a single abstract interface, this method is directly available on the interfaces that implement it, if this interface is supported.

[2] In Internet Explorer 9, the host of an <a> always includes the port (e.g. developer.mozilla.org:443), even if there is no explicit port in the href attribute value.

[3] From Gecko 22 to Gecko 44, this property was on the URLUtils mixin. It has been moves either on the HTMLHyperlinkElementUtils mixin, or directly on the interface.
